There is just something about fresh herbs from the garden! So bright and full of flavor. I can say that I honestly don't use my herbs as much as I would like but this recipe is my favorite. My summer herb bread is requested and beloved by all my guests. The combination of herbs, cheese, and mayo is mouth-watering and addictive! I hope you enjoy this recipe as much as my friends and family do!
Amazing Summer Herb Bread
1 loaf of Italian bread, cut into 1 - 1 1/2 inch slices.
1 1/2 cups fresh herbs*, chopped
2 cups shredded parmesan cheese
1 1/2 cups (or more) mayonnaise
*I recommend basil, rosemary, parsley, chives, oregano/marjoram, and thyme.
Instructions: Place bread slices on a cooking sheet. Gather your herbs, clean them, and chop them (herb scissors are great). Mix the herbs, cheese, and mayonnaise in a bowl. Slather the bread pieces with the herb mixture. Place bread in the oven on broil until golden brown. Serve immediately and enjoy!
